    LUFC, Rhinos, YCCC

Is the city just buggered? Rhinos been crap for years now and don't look like improving, YCCC the same since Andrew Gale took over, now hes gone I don't see it changing anyway. Anything good in the city? We got a tiddlywinks team I can get behind?

Nothing positive LUFC front anymore, this Marsch is a fraud that football was just clueless yesterday and there is no getting past that, it wasn't a plan it was hit and hope all whilst defensively still looking like absolute clowns the only good thing was defending at corners, we didn't look like we'd concede everytime.

I know things weren't going well but at least with Bielsa I thought our unique style would see us beat and pick wins up against these types of teams that would keep us up, now I don't even fancy us to beat Norwich.

Players look shell shocked, they look every bit the Championship level players they are. Likes of Ayling, Dallas, Forshaw, Harrison, James, Struijk. We've even managed to make international footballers look like Championship players.

Raphinha reminds me of Hadi Sacko except Hadi Sacko at least looked crap with a smile and positive attitude.

No faith, fully expect us to go down now and yesterday was the first time I thought that. Even after Spurs thumped us I had faith we'd turn up against teams in the lower half of the table with Bielsas style and get at them, good attacking football now we don't even attack well we just play like Warnock is back only difference is we are hoofing it to Dan James and praying PL level CBs are going to somehow miss their header. It isn't a tactic, it is stupidity.

It is weird but in a week I've lost that desire to watch them even when we got spanked i'd still want to, now I don't. I was planning on getting tickets when I'm back in country for a few of the games but why bother? To watch PL hoofball whilst we get relegated?

Everything back to normal then joel especially the Football side of things.

It was never going to last it never does with us.

This time its left a foul taste in the mouth though I must admit.

Soon be over and back in the championship.

    Tough times but....

I still think we'll get it together. we looked too good in the foxes game. we'll get a couple of wins and I think we'll get one Sunday. if so that will really make a difference. Let's face it. This is probably the relegation fight wrapped up in one game. we lose this and it's likely over.

I think the Heldje injury really hurts and not sure if Cresswell is able to go. If so I hope we sit Firpo, Play Cresswell in his place or even have in in center with Strujik. Norwich have one pure striker and we need to put someone on him as well as the defensive lineup.
This is a game that Raph and Bamford will get some room.

If relegated it will be different. we'll have owners with money. we'll be starting over since many of the players will leave but with money and a strong youth academy we could bounce right back. we never had any real money in the championship until Radz came along.

Don't like the Norwich, WBA, Watford or Fulham model but it's worked for them. They did not get marooned in the championship.

Think the foxes game we were attacking a la Bielsa - when we went full Jesse against Villa we looked bereft.

Fcuk even if we park the bus v Norwich and hoof long balls to James and Rapha up front to nick a goal anything but the horror show of last night.

Sorry, "If relegated it will be different. We'll have owners with money." In what world will we have "owners with money"? You expect the 49-ers, having seen us relegated, having watched as transfer requests come in from just about every player with any skill/potential, had the spectacle of the likes of Roberts, Rodrigo, Koch, Llorente, Firpo steal a living and attract zero interest, and seen the dross (e.g. Costa) return from loan spells that have proven just how useless they were in the first place (and with the JKA saga still unresolved), will gleefully dip their hands in their unquestionably deep pockets and give Radrizzani and his fellow-hangers on a nice little earner that they can speed off into the sunset with? We get parachute payments of 55% of the usual PL TV revenue in the first year after relegation

The EPL provides a fair share for every PL club, currently estimated at around 34 million pounds. Facility fees mean that every club receives a minimum of circa 12.3 million Pounds if less than 10 of its matches were aired live. For every broadcasted fixture beyond the first ten, a club will receive around 1.1 million Pounds. So lets say we get the "fair share" of £34m, and the minimum of £12.3m Facility fee, plus let's say another £3.3 for the 13 matches that get aired (optimistic, but what the hell), and there is around £43m from foreign TV rights for each PL club, irrespective of position in the table

That's a total of about £100m. We get relegated and get 55%, = £55m. Just where do you think that will get us in the Championship with a bunch of over-paid underachievers, and just how attractive would we be to anyone, 49-ers (who are NOT obligated to take up the option of buying Radrizzani out) included?

We should be in a much better position than last time we got relegated.

We are not facing administration, we are better run commercially, we have decent sponsorship arrangements in place and we will get parachute payments for three years (I think) - which is why it won’t be the huge disaster it could be - and we have players who will go for reasonable money (and also take away significant wages).

The infrastructure and training set up is a lot better but WTF is right we don’t have owners with deep pockets and even if we did the sustainability etc rules stop gratuitous funding by owners.

Think we will get more money than suggested for players

    Phillips 50m plus
    Rapha 25m plus
    Meslier 20m plus
Bamf 20m plus (as he is getting older)

Llorente, Firpo and Rodrigo will be at a big loss.

Koch might stay but if he goes we will get more than we paid.

James would be sold at a loss and Harrison we might get reasonable money for.

Someone would need to do brutal pruning so we have a good EFL squad which can progress to the PL again.

    Meslier/AN other

    Ayling/Drameh/Shacks
    Davies/An Other

    Struijk/Cooper/Cresswell/Hjelde

    Foreshaw/Bate/ Klich/ Allen/Dallas/ Shacks

    Summerville/Miller/Harrison/Gray

    Joffy/Roberts

That would be a decent squad to add to and build around and launch a promotion bid from.

The problem is we need someone who knows how to get out of that league (and even Bielsa was surprised by how relentless and hard that league is in his first season) coupled with likely 100% 49ers ownership - they also don’t know that much about football.

Would you want Jesse M leading that ship? His record in NY was good (but is the MLS which has no relegation). We won at Salzburg but they do the double most seasons. He was not good at Leipzig in a squad that needed redirection. Not sure his CV has prepared him for the EFL and restructuring a club’s squad to the extent needed at Leeds. Hope I am wrong as we are about to find out.

If we keep performing like we did v Villa not sure he will survive this season.

Why lose sleep when you see it unfolding all season it's not like it was unexpected.
