Taking my daughter for a curry tomorrow night. Previously we would have gone to Bari's in West Tower St but he has removed to Oulton and only does takeaway for the moment. And I heard some negativity on Viceroy. Any other suggestions?

Never had a Ruby in Carlisle, there’s a good one in Cockermouth though.
Surprised to hear about The Viceroy, it always used to be very good. I've eaten at Khan's at The Waterloo several times recently (on the A69 near the golf club), it's been superb. You'd be advised to book on a Friday as they can get pretty busy.

I found the service to be good but the food middle of the road and not as tasty as Bari's. Mind that might have been influenced by returning home and having uncontrolble severe shivering I losing all energy which I initially put down to the pneumonia jab earlier in the day, but bad night with fever and bad throat and sure enough welcome Mr Covid despite my 4 vaccinations (I am highly vulnerable). And I have been in bed ever since and grateful my daugter is staying with me. Fierce sore throat last night and today. .
You’ll be fine mate, anything like me and the sore throat is the first thing to go. I’ve felt like crawling into my pit a few times but resisted and fell a lot better 4 days in. My energy dips were cured by food! Keep smiling - paracetamol helps.
Any idea where you caught it? I’m suspecting the Paddock at the Northampton game. LFTs only give positives from about day 4 apparently so I was negative on Monday and Tuesday but positive by Thursday.
