    It comes to something

When you have to celebrate another countries saints day because to celebrate ours might offend someone.

F uck Paddy's Day and the daft hats. I am an Anglo Saxon, and if people get offended by anything English or our flag, tough s hit.

That wouldn't be the same St.George who was Greek and killed a Dragon in Libya would it?😀

At least the Irish get to celebrate with a decent drink

Who says you have to celebrate St Patrick's Day because it's offensive to celebrate St George's? Your reaction is exactly what I was referring to in a previous thread, the pubs use the day to attract drinkers to enjoy themselves but that's all it is.

There are some right shyttey wokey days coming up on the International Calender. After the recent Womens day we get next the International day of Happiness on Sunday March 20th. Well I for one will be a right grumpy f*ck on that day on purpose and wont be wearing a big smily badge - I will not comply

Who is going to explain to Ukrainians that Sunday is a day of Happiness? Whoever thought this up is a moron.

There isn't a soul out there offended by the English flag or St Georges day. Just the Daily Mail spreading nonsense as offending English folk sells papers. Piers Morgan is making a killing out of this false pretence.

One of my favourites is the Trans Visibility Day (March 31st in case anyone interested). Now, I have no problem with Trans individuals and deplore the Abbott and Paxton ruling in Texas, but I am struggling to find the " White, over 60 hetero***ual male Day" on my company woke calandar. Anyone help?

I have no problems with people celebrating their Saints day, but I do object to people being against the English saints day.
How would Indians feel if they weren't allowed to celebrate their day but could celebrate Pakistani day instead?
How about Palestinians celebrating Israel's national day but not their own?
The Stone Cross St Georges Day was cancelled because they said they couldn't police it properly. It was a celebration not a National Front march.
We have this Irish s hit rammed down our throats every March.
I am easy going, but the harder people push against our heritage and traditions the harder I will push back.
If people don't like our customs and ways nothing is preventing them from going back to the wonderful countries they came from.
    English and proud.

    Absolutely correct.

Coming up to 15 years now I've lived in London, met many people from all over - the US, Asia, Africa, Europe. Never met anyone who had any problem with St Georges Day, our flag, Christmas, Easter....

Has anyone on here ever met anyone offended by our traditions? I'd be amazed if so.

Its made up propaganda, in order to get a reaction like the one we're seeing on this board.

It amazes me that the people who complain about others being over sensitive, woke and snowflakes - are most often the ones offended by absolutely nothing!
