Simmo really has been getting some incredible results from a poor squad.

Quite rightly he has been loyal, but time to bring some experience back into the defence.

    For me it should be:-

    Howard,
Mellor, Simeu, Feeney (Capt), McDonald, Dickenson
    Riley, Devine, Gibson,
    Dennis, Patrick.

Probably a shade harsh on Armer but the rest could do him good.

For this game I was looking to increase the number of experienced defenders in the team without disturbing the increasingly impressive central defensive partnership of Simeu and Feeney.

What attributes do you see in Mellish that would give him the edge over McDonald?

Mellish can move between defence and mid field and is more Mobile than macdonald while I think we should not risk unbalancing the central 3 who have gained a strong understanding

You are probably right regarding the mobility but ultimately I think McDonald is a better defender.

    Problem solved.

    They are both playing!
