    Bad news for next season

The only player contracts up this summer are Johnstone, Sawyers, Carroll and Button. Plus Molumby and Clark go back to Brighton. So that’s it .... we are stuck with the same shower of sh*t* for next season as I can’t see many being snapped up for higher wages elsewhere....

What an abysmal state of affairs ....

We can't cancel contracts or duck out of transfer payment commitments so our best bet re first team squad would be to make it known who is available for free transfers or low cost loans with us sharing part of the wages. Anything that gets as much wages off the books as we can muster.

Fk knows we're not looking at much in terms of incoming transfer fees unless someone else employs a director of football worthy of execution of course. Just don't sell Dara O'Shea, TGH or Dike for peanuts as I'd like to retain their services as an outfield core and take it from there.

We won't be able to move them all and it's going to take some unusually good scouting and recruitment for a rebuild but we need to drain as much of this characterless swamp as is viable. And I have to say I haven't seen much from Bruce/Gourlay so far to suggest they're the men for the job.

If they are then huge improvement is required..... and fast. We've had worse squads but I'm struggling to remember a time when we've managed to acquire so many gutless, lazy looking unlikable wasters in one go.

I’m not sure if I’m in favour of Dyche or not but one thing he could be good at is ‘beasting’ bone idle f******s like Grant, Mowatt and co.
If we’re stuck with this ****e then it’s about time they earned their keep, Diangana could do with finding a pair aswell.

The most important short term job at this club right now, for me anyway, is gutting the recruitment department and start head hunting proven replacements.
