    Kipre

I find the Kipre situation odd. Under Val I thought he stood out and is only 25, which is still really young for a CB. He’s aggressive and can play out.

Bruce hasn’t even looked at him once. Surely you would stick him in over Bartley now we have nothing to play for. Given he hasn’t, you would think his Albion days are numbered.

Any rumours coming out the club around attitude or anything?

Good point Matt and agree! Bruce does seem to have favourites ie Livermore, Reach and Bartley. I would be amazed other than one youngster if any of the others are given a go! Nothing is riding on the last two matches for either team so you would have thought a minimum of 4/5 youngsters given a go! We know that won’t happen!

Kipre was doing ok when he was last in the side, I didn’t understand what he did to get dropped. I would like to see a back three of Clarke, O’Shea and Kipre, with Ajayi moved into midfield to replace Livermore.

There have been so many decisions made by this club this season that have been extremely baffling to the majority of fans. Team selection has been one of them and combine this with an owner with no interest in us as a football club, an inept recruitment team, the appointment of a manager with the footballing brain of an amoeba, underperforming players, right down to that abomination of a kit and what do you have, an absolute disaster. There is no doubt that without the start that we had we would be playing Division One football next seaso.

Where do we go from here? Well, I suppose you could say that with us being at such a low ebb the only way is up. However, I wouldn't put money on it. There is so much to improve upon that it's going to be very difficult and I'm not sure that we have the wherewithal to achieve this. I sincerely hope that I'm wrong. I apologise for such a downbeat post.

From yesterdays express and Star website ( I find more about WBA here than anywhere else).
    A quote from Bruce saying

"We have got seven centre-backs and arguably our best young player (Caleb Taylor) is a centre-back and was on the bench today. There is a big job to be done."

Kipre is a poor defender, like Ajayi he constantly gets caught the wrong side of his player, the difference with Ajayi is he has the pace to get himself out of trouble, i have seen milk turn quicker than Kipre, he looks ok when he is going forward with the ball but that is not his job, he would be one of the players i would be looking to move on at the end of the season.

I think we’re looking at a different defender and think most in the league would take him. He’s certainly not a slow player as you suggest and was highly regarded before coming to us….we didn’t concede many when he was in the side. He’s a little raw positionally but trainable unless there are attitude issues we don’t know of. Ajayi is massively error prone; even Rotherham wouldn’t play him at the back.

Football is all about opinions, i sit high up in the east stand and can see along our defensive line he constantly plays the opposition on side and also gets caught with the long ball over his head, IMO he isn't better than Ajayi and we don't need both of them at the club next season.

This is why players lose heart. Managers favourites one minute, not even noticed when the new manager comes in.
