Following on from last night's victory, 0-0 when 11 v 11, I'm of an impression there's been more than once this season that we've only gone on to win, or to cement a win, when the opposition has been down to 10.
Anyone got some facts and figures at hand?
Barnet 0 - 5 Notts (Barnet player sent off when Notts 4-0 up) points gained/lost 0
Notts 1 - 1 Torquay (Torquay player sent off at 0-0 then they went ahead) points gained 1
Halifax 3 -2 Notts (Halifax player sent off with Notts winning 2-0) . . . unforgiveable. points lost 3
Notts 3 - 1 Wrexham (Wrexham player sent off with Wrexham winning 1-0. Sending off resulted in a penalty for Notts to get them level). points gained 3
Notts 1 - 1 Halifax (Halifax player sent off with them winning 1-0) points gained 1
Dover 0 - 3 Notts (Dover player sent off at 0-0) points gained 3
So looks like we have benefitted from sending's off to the tune of 8 points out of 18.
Should also add that Halifax had a player sent off in the Trophy game as well but we were already 2-1 up by then. Remarkable that they had a player sent off in all three encounters with Notts this season.
