Just listened to a discussion on radio LBC where the guest was a university sports accountant dissecting the Chelski investments over the years.

He claimed the wage bill has been subsidised by an average of £900,000 per week over the past 20 years. That amounts to more than a cool £900,000,000 over that time.

Their current wage bill is over £333M for the year. And the F.A. haven't lifted a finger to control it.
