Some chap told me last night at H/T that Burchy is deffo on his way and his replacement has already been identified. None other than Kevin Nolan!!! Well if you're gonna make a story up.......................

A bloke sitting next to me last night said "who was the manager before Ardley, was it Noble?" I said "not Noble, Kevin Nolan". He said "ah, that's the one", and told me he had seen him on his way in. As you say, Nolan doesn't seem to fit the Reedtz philosophy.

No way it will be Nolan, but I'd honestly take him back. His football was primitive, to say the least, but it was also effective - at least in that one season before everything blew up.

I know we say it every summer, but the coming season is a pivotal one. I think we'll learn whether the Reedtz bros intend to stick rigidly to their philosophy no matter what, or if they're willing to adapt their approach in the face of overwhelming evidence that it isn't working.

This will be our fourth season at this level. If we aren't challenging at the very top from the start, I can see fans getting pissed off and/or losing interest - especially if Forest are in the Prem. We need to see signs of progress, and as far as I can tell, progress will only come if we alter our approach.

I've just posted something very similar on the 'Burchball' thread.

So primitive, he’s now West Ham head coach. As you say though, no way would he give up coaching in the Premiership to come back to a midlands backwater with a club content on cementing their stay in the National League.

Can you imagine him putting up with the Reedzt bros insisting he instill their tippy tappy, pointless (anti) football?

It's Mark Noble they have lined up NOT Kevin Nolan.

That's one of our problems. Our lack of progress, and one of the reasons that phrases such as ''our lack of urgency'' are being bandied about. Final > Semi Final > Quarter Final. We actually regressing and becoming firmly entrenched in this sand-trap that is the National League .
