Do You Drink And Eat Whilst Driving?

A story about this on local news tonight.

Seriously.......is this the major priority for Plod!?

I’ve had a kidney complaint since my early 20’s and I drink a lot, I often reach for a swig of squash whilst driving.

Never thought twice about eating a sandwich or chocolate bar whilst driving either.

Apparently it’s against the law to do so.

Do you eat or drink whilst driving and if so will you now be stopping doing so!?

    I won’t.

I’ve driven for nearly 43 years without it ever causing me an issue.

Yes all the time! Today i was driving and eating Fruitellas which I had to take out of the bag and unwrap each one! Last week I also was eating a carton of cherries so on passing a speed camera I ate one and spat out the pip whilst passing!

Nay, I have been driving since I was 17 and still got no points on my licence.
There is a reason for Cafés and service stations.

I checked my rear view mirror the other day and the obese driver in the car behind me was eating mcdonalds fries straight from the box. One hand on the steering wheel and the other hand pushing the box into his mouth, greedy heffer

Was he called Jake? Could explain why he’s 30 seconds too late for tackles and slower than a Chelsea pensioner!

Don't tend to eat anything whilst driving other than the odd mint or chewing gum but I do like to drink flavoured water when returning from playing walking football and I love a Costa coffee when I pull into Taunton Services and drink it on the way to Cornwall. It helps me enjoy what is quite a long drive.

Often have a drink whilst driving, name a car that doesn’t have cup holders for gods sake! Drivers smoke while driving ( ok sensibly not allowed with kids in the car) having a drink can’t be worse than that! Nanny state at it again!

Quite often have a swig from a drink bottle while driving and occasionally something to eat but must say I only do so if I feel the driving conditions are right and wouldn't do so on a motorway for example or where I needed to concentrate more-maybe my co-ordination isn't as good as it once was! Having an automatic helps 😀

Probably not as dangerous as smoking and driving. Have they banned that, yet?

Although I've had the occasional swig of water I can say in all honesty I've never eaten whilst driving. Not even sweets.

Aged 19 I was a backseat passenger in a car on the Aston Expressway. The driver was eating from an open packet of chicken and chips.

Very nearly ended it for all of us whilst distracted when tearing the chicken. Decided never to eat while driving and haven't.
