Whilst he was out of his depth as a manager he was a legend when he played for us. Had a conversation with him last night and he really is a decent guy. I told him we needed him back in our defence and he would always be a Baggie and best wishes to him.

I shouted Rio but he was too thick to get the joke! Nice bloke as he signed a kids autograph until an old steward told the kid to get back under the crash barrier. I shouted to the steward it’s a kid for f uck sake and were you never a kid! Almost thrown out and you couldn’t make it up.
