What an absolute disaster of an owner Lai has turned out to be. The man is an absolute disgrace in how he is using our club to prop up his other businesses. The sooner we can get rid of this odious individual, the better. I've witnessed other owners ruin football clubs but never thought that we would end up with that type of an owner. Unfortunately we have. I know very little about the financial details regarding the sale of Albion to Lai but from my very basic knowledge, Jeremy Peace has a lot to answer for!!

A good altruistic effort being made, here. The question I have is, if our beloved CEO does go ahead and sell, what powers would Sandwell Council actually have, and would they use them? Sandwell Council are incapable of running a samosa stall on Smethwick High Street, although in fairness, they seem quite quick to litigate against their own people, when critisised, so we could believe they would do the same for this cause. After just selling off Brandhall Golf course, in spite of an 85% No vote from those consulted, I won't hold my breath. Good luck to all those involved though.

If nothing else it would or should prevent the ground being sold behind the back of the fans, absolutely imperative this happens.

There's ways and means. To the best of my limited financial knowledge even if this prevents a sale there's nothing to stop him using the ground as security for 'another' loan.

Any obstacle that can be put in his way that will help to delay a potential sale and buy time for an alternative has got to be worth pursuing. Football grounds like ours are important parts of local culture and history and should have a level of protection and not be seen as mere businesses. As Malcolm Clarke, chair of the Football Supporters Association, urged to parliament back in 2019 after Bury got expelled, why can't they have the classification of "listed buildings" like others of historic importance.
