How much would you sell him for?

At 25 years old i think he's worth £40 million at least, probably more (i'm not sure how long his contract is though)

He's an exciting player but not enough end product for me so i wouldn't be devastated to see him go

I'd rather keep Maxi and see how he performs up until January then move him on if he's still out of form

This time last year - no way on sale. Now. . . I trust that Howe could work around it.

I don't want to see him go this season but if he does, I suspect we'll be looking for £50 million plus, he has 4 years left on his contract (signed an extension till 2026 last season).

I read that and my first thought was surprise, don’t think he’s the type of player they would have gone for, too inconsistent and frustrating. BUT if they offer enough for us to get Diaby, then yes sell him, that would be great business for me, and I think Howe would be happy with that as well. I think it’s speculation though, we will see.

Need to replace Miggy as a starter and get a back up in for Wilson before we consider selling ASM.

He looks a lot better when there is a decent striker to play too… he was outstanding with Wilson on the pitch the last two games… so if we have a good back (up or preferably someone competing to make the starting spot his own) then he should always have someone available.

Could we get better than ASM, in a year or two we could, but I’d say it’s a RW and a striker that we need to get before looking to replace ASM… we’d be seen as beyond desperate for attacking players if we sell ASM before then, and would be quoted even sillier prices.

    Wouldn't sell.

There would go the inventiveness in our attack.

There is a reason others are sniffing. He's frustrated many who want to cash in but I'd be gutted if he goes.

Any attack benefits from qualities like height, strength, pace, quick-thinking and creativity. I wouldn't like to get rid of creativity and reduce our overall pace because he frustrates people... ...who then jump out their seats when he scores or quickly forget his contribution to attacks.

Don't need to convert anyone (and won't) but I'd prefer to get others out like Wood, even though no one would buy him for anything near what we paid, before pushing ASM out. Glad Gayle is gone and would like others that contribute less out first.

Fair assessment, like you say there’s others before Maxi, although he would bring the most in transfer fee. Just a thought, if we used the cas to get Diaby, would you see that as a good bit of business?

Just look at what he has been worth to the club in the past before E.H. and the Saudis came along. Some games he saved almost singlehandedly.

There has been times when he's looked burnt out but the above is the reason for that. Give the lad a season or two with a complete team of class players and then we'll see his worth, and if you want to sell him then he'll be worth much more than Chelski are willing to pay now.
