    Blazer and Slacks Time Again

This time for Glorious Goodwood. Got to be the prettiest racecourse in England. Bit a pig to get to driving the only real option. Still we can share the driving. I'll drive there my wife can drive back.

I know you’re just trying to wind me up.

I hate racing as much as the archaic clothing! 🤣

I was reading an interesting article in the Sporting Life about Glorious Goodwood.

He said he is often asked how Goodwood got called the prettiest course in England. He said it was because near enough everyone who goes there has never ventured north to the undoubted prettiest course in England, i.e Hexham! Don’t go telling anyone down there this week though we are keeping it to ourselves.

Enjoy, seeing Baeed. I am sure he will be awesome and if the racing is as good today as it was yesterday you are going to be one lucky fella.

No more than you and my 'archaic clothing' I wouldn't call myself a horse racing fan and my wife certainly isn't but we do like an occasion. Meeting up with some friends from Dorset. Just off.

You're correct never been to Hexham looks beautiful. My favourite course is Plumpton. The setting is nice, you get very close to the action much more so than the bigger courses and best of all I can walk to my local station and 10 minutes later I'm getting off right outside the course. You can also walk into Plumpton Village to a very nice local. I once came 3rd in the 'Best Dressed Man' competition on Ladies Day. Sssh! Don't tell anyone else on here.

Probably my favourite course is Goodwood. Back in the 60's, I used to catch a coach from Folkestine which took 5 hours to get to Goodwood, no motorways in those days! I used to sit on Trundle Hill to watch the action as I had spent all my pocket money on the coach fare. Friend of mine has a horse running today called Oscula who they think will run well in the 2.25. Have a great day 923. I'm really envious because I am stuck at home with Covid!
