Starting Eleven & formation (with current squad)

Not set in stone but think this would be my choice on what I have seen.
    5-1-3-1

    Slocombe

    Nemane
    Cameron
    Baldwin
    Brindley
    Chicksen

    Francis

    Palmer
    Austin
    Rodrigues

    Langstaff

Very difficult to leave out Bajrami, Taylor and Scott. I have been impressed with Brooks too, very comfortable with ball at feet. Add Vincent, JOB, TAR and Mitchell and we look quite strong.

    4-3-3 for me
    Slocombe
    TAR Baldwin Cameron Chicksen
    Palmer Francis Austin
    Scott Langstaff Ruben

I’d give Austin a bit more freedom behind the front 3.

Will be a 3-1-4-2 in my opinion

    GK - Slocombe

    CB - Cameron
    CB - Baldwin
    CB - Brindley

    RWB/RW - Nemane
    LWB/LW - Taylor/Chicksen

    DM - Bajrami/Francis

    CM - Palmer
    CM - Rodrigues

    ST - Langstaff
    ST - Scott

The main changes from last season seem to be:
Langstaff for Wooton, Austin for Roberts and Baldwin for Lacey - give or take a little bit.

Is this seasons starting eleven stronger? I note all three previous posters have included Francis??

As it stands with Palmer and Rodrigues still here, I do believe we are stronger, as much due to the style we are now playing, although I think Langstaff is an upgrade on Wootton, Francis looks a different player in his new role, Baldwin is a step up on Lacey.
Plenty of time for it to unravel lol.

I think this is closest to Luke Williams' plan. Adebayo-Rowling would of course compete for the RWB/RW slot.

I think jackal is right, this is pretty close. Ive loved rodders since the minute he landed but always looks best when not asked to play as an orthodox midfield player. If he is to play in a 3 then I think it only strengthens the feeling I’ve had all summer - we’re a midfielder short as I don’t see the other promotion contenders relying on last years nearly man or a converted centre half. Just my view.

    I'd say either

    Slocombe

    Brindley, Baldwin, Cameron

    TAR, Palmer, Francis, Taylor

    Ruben

    Langstaff Scott

    or

    Slocombe

    Brindley, Baldwin, Cameron

    TAR, Palmer, Francis, Taylor

    Austin Ruben

    Langstaff

Against the weaker teams we could even just play Palmer in the middle with Austin, Ruben, Langstaff & Scott ahead. Should be plenty of goals in that lot!
