Why did good clubs want Robinson and Mowatt but nobody came in for:

Livermore - Reach - Zohorse - Bartley and Phillips?

Is it because they are all class players as quite clearly Mr Steve Bruce still rates them?

Because they are crap and in the winter of their careers Al. Would you buy them?

You can have a pop at Bruce but what is he expected to do? It's 5 squad players that no one wants to buy from him and he has no money to replace them. He can't exactly come out and slate them and he has to find some use for them, albeit as little as possible.

He tried to raise funds by selling the players who are out of the first team that had some value and still have some mileage in them and then the club goes and messes up the paperwork on two transfers to replace them.

Had we managed to transfer a couple of those donkeys to some sanctuary or other, I doubt that the paperwork for the potential incomers would have been messed up. Wouldn’t it be be nice if they told the truth?
