On the way to winning the league again to be canon fodder in the Prem again.
Goal scorers mate.
Pukki and young Sargeant.......THAT is the difference.

Norwich and Burnley look good bets to go back up for me ... maybe chased by Shef Utd and Watford (although recent player sales will damage them) .... we will be lucky to make the playoffs....
Norwich strike me as a similar club to ourselves .... too good for the Championship (although no one can say that about us with Lai at the helm) and not good enough for the Prem. Never over stretch themselves on transfers ... and ultimately that means they will always struggle in the Prem
Many sides relegated keep their players or invest in new ones equivalent of equal quality. Look at the side we had in the Premier plus Manager compared to our side now plus Manager. No comparison and a shadow!
If we did get promotion ( very unlikely ) the hope would be Lai sells up and f ucks off and a new owner comes in with money. Whilst we stay in the championship Lai will continue to rape the finances or worse - protect the stadium by putting it within another one of his companies. Like the crook Mel Norris who shafted all the creditors but still owns Pride Park!
And people wonder why so many are turning away from football at the higher levels.
So many debates, press coverage and social media is all about the owners of the club. Everyone knows who their owner is and whether they think they invest enough or not year on year.
How the team play, who the players are, what state the ground and facilities are etc seems to be way down the pecking order and increasingly more and more time devoted to the owners impact, positive or negative.
I started watching our home games in 1960 and up until just before the Premier league years I couldn’t even tell you who owned the club and to be honest hardly anyone cared because it was all about developing young talent and entertaining the fans as well as the club being actively part of the local community.
So will Norwich go up or not, I couldn’t care less and to be honest and I feel the same about us.
I hate the way the media presents football, all they seem to be interested in are the so-called big teams and over hyped allegedly top players; even foreign clubs get more media attention than EFL clubs. It’s not just the state that WBA finds itself in these days that turns me off football but football as a whole. Supporters count for nothing these days as the media world bows down to the great god of television and their determination to feed the game to plastic ‘fans’ and fat couch potatoes, most of whom don’t have a clue where most of the grounds are that they see on their screens week in and week out. Every day you can see the ridiculous sight of overweight, middle aged blokes wandering around towns in their bulging replica shirts (Manure, Arse, Chelski etc); have any of them ever been to see the team whose shirt they wear actually play? I doubt it.
You know Ketts, I don't have a problem with people going to matches. I don't have a problem with those who don't. I don't have a problem with those who didn't go to the ground when I used to, because maybe they weren't even born yet or had other reasons not to go. I agree with the media hype being a pain though or why you get turned off football these days.
