    Snodgrass signs for Hearts

    ....... so that's that one gone.

    Was there any serious effort by us to sign him.......?

    Normally apart from rangers celtic we can compete with Scotland with the lure off the championship etc

    He 34 used to play for Scotland so maybe he wanted to move back up north be closer to family etc.

    Hearts are in a European comp, not sure which one. Maybe the European Dream won't last for him anyway the way Scottish teams play.

    Europa Conference League, which is a league basis in early stages so they will have a few “ guaranteed” euro games

    Snodgrass is from Glasgow but started out playing with Livingstone, so his affinity for the Edinburgh area is likely to be strong.

    According to the 'Tiser we never spoke to him. He didn't get in the squad for the Europa match in which they got hammered.

    In all fairness, 34 and expected to slot into midfield? Our current middle is far fitter, stronger, younger and have more to offer so no wonder we never looked at him.
