    Graham Potter

Has a verbal agreement to be Chelsea's head coach.

Anyone think he will get Burchnall as his number 2.

I get the impression the "relationship" there is rather one way with Burchnall keen to attach his star to Potter's

Didn't he just succeed him at the club in Norway?

Yeah I don't think there's any further association as far as I know. I don't blame Potter for taking it, alot of people have said stay at Brighton as Chelsea is a manager eater but you've got to take your chance whilst your stock is high. Also he'll get to prove against the best in the Champions League. Nice to see an English manager getting a chance as well, wish him luck.

It's an absolute no brainer for me. He's done amazingly well at Brighton, who are widely acknowledged as a well run innovative club. It's been slow steady progress but they've turned from sneaky good to just plain good in recent times.

But what more is there to do, get them into the Europa League , very possible, that's no different to West Ham and Wolves achievements. I don't think they can get Top 4 , so Potter moves to a Champions League regular, a regular trophy winning club with a new owner with a big budget.

Even if they are now ruthless and he gets sacked his reputation won't suffer much at all and his bank balance will go through the roof. He will go straight into another PL job.

Above all he will have a chance to find out if he's good enough instead of always wondering. These opportunities are rare as they usually have some of the world's best managers to choose from.

As CF says it's also great to finally see a English manager at a genuine Top 4 club.

    Good luck to him

I hope he does really well there. Seems a really nice guy(heard that before), plays great football. Reckon he could be the next England Manager. Wouldn't like to be a Brighton fan at present. Be really hacked off, especially as they seemed to settled in the PL. Hope the Seagulls don't go for a "name" as Coach just to try and appease the fans.

I thought he'd retired after the second series of Phoenix Nights.
