    Middlesbrough Post Match Thoughts

Putting it up early as I have to be somewhere. Hanging on at the time of going to press.

    Thoughts?

Second best for most of the game. Never really looked like scoring so happy with a point.

Lack of quality and too negative for me against a team lacking in confidence. We should have tried to put more bodies forward when attacking and not hoof it up to nobody I'm a bit disappointed in the performance more than the result tbh.

I was really impressed by that performance. We actually look like a championship team. A comfortable one at that.
Defence were brilliant, I think Wiles did a good job in midfield but I am even more happy with Rathbone. Harding, great again.

Not a great game, not at our best, happy with a point. 8th in league which is pretty good!

Any away point in the Championship is a good one! Didn't understand the replacement of Washington with High - we had no outlet up front until Kelly came on - but too late in my opinion. However, very happy with a point and our position in the Championship!

I thought we played it too safe,we could have pushed on a bit more but another point towards safety.Nearly 23.000 Att for a silly ko time.

Watching on my tablet in London after a big session.

Seemed quite comfortable overall but felt that with a bit more belief in ourselves we could have taken advantage of Boro who were clearly at a low ebb. Happy with a draw but disappointed with a draw at the same time if that makes any sense.

Couldn't really fault anyone, good team effort as usual. Just maybe could have been more confident in ourselves against a team that I think are struggling. But a draw away at boro at the start of the season I'd have been very happy with. Standards are shifting and that's a great thing.

I thought that the Millers were Magnificent. Compare this season with the last couple of times in the Championship. 'Will Warney learn' used to be the mantra from a few of the resident armchair experts on here. Well, good news, yes, he has!!!

No he didn’t tonight. Good point will take that but to swap a forward for another midfielder?
    Just invited Boro on more.

Should have been Kelly for Washington to keep the pressure on. Kelly is a real handful but he needs to use him forward for forward.

Like I said, decent point but Boro look a shambles and we’re there for the taking tonight. They will get some right pastings sooner or later and wilder will be sacked. Meanwhile Warney’s stock continues to grow 😀
