Top bloke Warney, some great memories there. Brought a tear to my eye.
How about you Wendun?...tears of rage?

It was a fantastic roller coaster ride. That's my last words on PW, unless we play against him in a future fixture.
Why? He is a human being, not a robot the club and the fans own. He has chosen to better himself both financially and securely for both himself and his family.
He has served his time with RUFC with both dignity and pride. Yes there have been highs and lows but that’s football for you.
If we drop and Derby go up then ask our Chairman and recruitment who chose the new Manager why we went down. It has absolutely nothing to do with Warne.
You see, this is what is wrong with MM. Unnecessary slagging of someone not even contributing to the thread at the time. I'm bored with this. My views on PW are well known and have never changed. I feel no rage whatsoever. I simply don't rate him as highly as many on here. He is tactically limited, very conservative, plays an old-fashioned game, distrusts young players and creaks under pressure. He will be sacked within a year and disappear from football. My worry is for the future. The idiotic TS - who I remember doing his little jig of joy when we got Stubbs - will land us with a no-hoper. He's already thinking about a cheap option but one the fans will love because he's a Mister Rotherham United. Pathetic.
He hasn`t got one,he only comes on here to take the piss out of everyone else,he somehow thinks he`s superior.
Anyway, the end of an era,he`s been with us for 20 years as player, coach and manager, and is for me the best manager we`ve ever had.
His core values, chime with me....hard-working,honest,funny,inteligent,and caring, values I would have thought would be valuble to any right thinking person, but apparently quite a few on here don`t.
The timing of his leaving seems a little odd to me,he`s worked 6 years to get us to this sort of position,a decent squad, and probably the best chance since he`s been here of staying in this league, why leave now ?
I would guess that Derby made contact a few weeks ago,to see if he would be interested, and obviously he was, they are a big club, and I`m sure his contract is much improved, but he`s still dropped a league, and I`m certain that if Derby don`t get promotion this season he will be looking for another job.
It`s a shame he took Hamshaw with him,cos I think him and Woody would have been a decent combo until January at least, but now we`ve got to start all over again, but as it stands, hopefully there might be one or two surprise applicants for a job with a Championship team in the top 10,as long as they don`t expect millions.
Good luck Paul,a top,top Miller.
