One of my old business colleagues is a "Super Mackem" and he never misses a Sunderland game home or away.

He is in fact going to suffer my hospitality when he comes to the Turf to watch his beloved Black Cats take another hammering.

Be that as it may, he rang me this morning to say Burnley are the best team he has seen this season by a country mile. He further claims VK is the classiest manager in the league, and the travelling fans are the noisiest in the Championship.

He further enquired, "Who do I think will come second to Burnley at the end of the season"?

If only those 1-1 draws had been turned into wins. That lack of firepower may well come back to haunt us eh sinkov?

You are too much of a perfectionist mon ami, the world, and football, just isn't like that. I'm just thankful for the firepower we have that turned those potential 1-0 defeats into 1-1 draws. At the end of the season that sort of firepower could be what gets us promoted.
