ELK, it’s the way of the world pal. No respect for anyone, anything or society. I sometimes wonder what my Granddaughter’s will face in their life when I’m long gone.
A Stoke City fan has been given a lifetime ban, for encouraging his 2 sons
to run on the pitch, during a home game at the Bet365 stadium against
Sheffield United.
The 2 boys aged 11 & 12 ran across the pitch in front of visiting fans, during
the closing stages of the teams home win against Sheffield United.
The man had recently been subject to a 3 year football banning order.
The 2 boys are not allowed to attend games at the Bet365 stadium at Stoke,
until the start of the 2027/28 season.
Thoughts - A foolish act by a parent, putting his sons safety at stake, the boys
running on to the pitch in front of visiting fans, what if some of the visiting fans
had run onto the pitch, & given them a good hiding.
Stoke City won the game 3-1

If it's anyh consolation folks, every generation has said the same thing since as far as records began.
I am very cynical about these so-called banning orders. They will be very difficult to enforce as there is nothing to stop one of the guilty party's mates getting tickets for them.
.....so whats happening about our pitch invasion at Gillingham in April then?
“Police have charged 29 people with public order offences following a pitch invasion during a League One match.
Fighting broke out and objects were thrown during the game between Gillingham FC and Rotherham United at the Priestfield Ground in Gillingham, Kent, on 30 April.
Fif**** people from Kent, and 14 from Yorkshire, aged from 16 to their 50s, have been charged.
They will appear before Medway Magistrates on 8 and 9 December.“
So another away trip for the Rotherham “fans”
