Ronnie Radford the scorer of probably the most famous FA cup goal of all time died yesterday aged 79.
I have had the privilege to have known Ronnie for the past 35 years and you couldn't meet a nicer more humble man. It is ironic that his old club Hereford are on tv on Friday playing in the cup.

That goal against Newcastle will live on in the hearts of anyone who loves football - including for the joyous pitch invasion from kids in Parkas after the Radford rocket hits the back of the net.
RIP Ronnie and sorry for your loss, 1961.

101 Great Goals was a VHS thing of beauty from back in the day. Certain commentaries on certain famous great goals by the likes of Keegan, Osgood, Pop Robson, Wellar are cemented in my memory forever.
What I love about rocket against Newcastle are the people celebrating on the floodlight pylon at the end of the clip.
