    referee good idea?

I just woke up and watching the Greek derby Olymbiacos vs Panathinaikos.
Huge Game and noticed for this sort of games they bring in neutral referees. This one is danish.
I think this is a brilliant idea and maybe should be introduced in the premier league.
    What are your thoughts.

Selective use of FIFA patched crews could make sense. It would also benefit the referees.

Can't see the point, referees have to indicate the team they support... That's why we never get Martin Atkinson... additional expense, and extensive travelling for the referees, an operational nightmare... not exactly a low carbon choice either

It's not every game just the top derbys eg Man U vs City Pool vs everton etc.

Like the idea. Does add expense.

However give the money involved team see should have 3 strikes to use up on refs. There are some refs that are so bad or biased we should be able to vote them off our games. I know that 3 strikes is not enough as the FA has some real dogs but it’s a start.

That knocks the integrity of the league, it either applies to all or none. It's why the ref's communication held up the game the other week v Arsenal.
Also open to different interpretation of rules, you see this in European competition

Whose gonna replace the refs in the donor leagues? they have the cost of replacing them in leagues that are not as cash rich

Maybe they should look at what rugby does where a lot of refs officiate all over the world.

Might make them better if being stretched to perform outside of their comfort zone.

Can you name the only referee to ever me on the cover of a FIFA game?
