Agreed , the reason he's not gone in my opinion , he plays for Brentford and not one of the big clubs .

Southgate clearly can't see its harder to score goals for Brentford in the PL than it is for a striker at Chelsea or Man City .

Massive mistake for me also. Why would you leave someone like him at home; an absolute proven goalscorer. As big a mistake as we made with not signing him.

Southgate good or not, Toney is a loose cannon. Too big a risk, possibly too disruptive

I understand why he hasn't taken Toney, but if we have to take penalties he will regret not having him there, best penalty taker I've seen in years! Having said that the one he missed against us when at Posh must have been the last one he missed!
For me he's made a mistake not taking Harvey Barnes who is on fire at Leicester, the lad can turn a game on his own!
How Phillips got in when not playing a game all season is baffling!
