    Women in charge.

I wondered if anybody had any issues with the ref at the Germany Cost Rico game last night.
Didn't watch it as boycotting it other, what I pick up here and there.
France's Stephanie Frappart officiated for the Germany v Costa Rica match - and led an all-female on-field team, with Brazil's Neuza Back and Mexican Karen Diaz Medina chosen as her assistants.

The team seemed to be well up for it. Good for them....

I didn’t watch the match so can’t comment on their performance as such.

We had a female ref at a Stourbridge match a few years ago and she was excellent.

She engaged with the players well, officiated better than any other ref that season and reffed in a non confrontational and non officious way and had a smile on her face.

Even laughed when I started the chant “ you’re too fit to referee “ because she was an attractive girl.

Towards the end of my own playing career 20 years ago we were reffed by a ****age girl and once again she also was very good.

My own experience was that both teams were more respectful and there was less verbals and general aggro on the pitch, players more mindful of their behaviour.

Have read nothing but good across the Internet today, so good on them.
