    Shoestring

I always thought what a good and original series this was. It's aged a bit but still good to watch, especially of how the world was at the end of the seventies.
All the episodes are available on YouTube.
All the episodes of Man In a Suitcase are on as well. Man In a Suitcase was one of the better more grown up series, compared to the Avengers, Adam Adamant and The Saint, although I enjoyed all those as a kid.

I thought The Saint with Rog was rather good I noticed Danger Man featuring the great Patrick McGoohan are all on Youtube. I have never seen a full episode of this. Drake was really the character in The Prisoner which was denied by McGoohan himself but the writer Markstein said he was.

He was the original choice to play James Bond, which he turned down to play Drake.
It would have been interesting to see a McGoohan Bond because he hated promiscuity, he once said real heroes are one women men.
He would have also been a secret agent more to true life, invisible and deadly.
Let's face it Bond films are really a nonsense, driving top of the range car's, s hagging beautiful women, winning thousands in casino's and everyone on earth knowing your name.
    Nothing very secret about that.

I think it was his other daughter who married Lynott.

I met Trevor Eve on the electric tram going to the top of Snaefell on the Isle of Man. I was on the island for the TT, it was early June and very cold on that mountain top. Trevor Eve remarked on the cold and said that he had just come from some sunny, warm island (I can’t remember where). He headed straight back into the cafe!
