    Westwood flying the nest?

I have just read that Westwood has joined an American team on a 3 year deal. Could be if Lawton and Long follow that "free's up" significant wages budget for us to look at securing some of Loan boys we would like to keep, such as Beyer etc?

Charlotte are taking a big risk if this has actually happened. A three year contract to a player not far short of 33 years old, coming back from a serious injury and who hasn't played a game in nine months. Good luck with that one.

claret-matelot reported this earlier today, seems a done deal and the yanks seem pleased with it, but not as pleased as us.

Not only will we cope without him, I reckon we can even top the league without him.

Great opportunity for Mr Westwood to try pastures new. He leaves with VK's blessing. I wish him nothing but the best.
