    Tonights games

Looks like Tarks is having a busy night, McNeil less so.

it also sounds like Pope did well for Newcastle, keeping them in the game like he did for us on so many occasions and complemented by Tripps with a man of the match performance.

Looks like they have done from last season’s frying pan into this season’s fire. Relegations in successive seasons will not look good on their CV’s if it happens.

    Lampard’s days must be numbered.

It's a lottery at the bottom of the PL at present, 5 points separating 8 clubs.

It is not beyond the realms of possibility at this moment, that next season Tella and Tarko are plying their trade in the Championship, while Burnley FC are playing in the Premier League, which would be ironic. I wouldn't wish it on them though, I hope it doesn't happen, I like the both of them.

The Everton fans are going ballistic about Dwight McNeil. "Burnley have had our pants down and dry bummed us" is about the most polite of them.

I wouldn't disagree with that. I've no idea why they signed him, it was blindingly obvious that PL defenders had him worked out last season and he was, to put it as kindly as possible, ineffective. What won't help either is that he has a rather laid-back demeanour, which he might just about get away with at Burnley, although it was commented on, but on Merseyside in a struggling team it's not a good look at all, it will land him in the doo-dah and no mistake.
