    Hi Ho Silver Lining

Loved this, Jeff Beck. I won’t make a fuss tho’ it’s obvious. RIP.

Sad to hear the news, another great musician is no more.
Strangely enough, I was discussing him yesterday with my nephew who was a massive fan. He was telling me that SIlver LIning was always requested when Jeff was touring, however, he really was hacked off because he had moved on.
He will always be remembered for that number more than any other. RIP Jeff and thanks for the music.

One of the worst parts of getting older is receiving news like this as contemporaries die. Seems like every week at the moment. At this rate, if there is a heaven, there’s going to be one heck of a jamming session going on there! Easy to imagine a line up of Prince, Beck and Petty on guitars and vocals, Bowie on vocals, McVie and Emerson on keyboards, Ray Thomas on flute, Graeme Edge on drums. Not sure about bass. Any suggestions?

Two bass guitarists strummed their last in 2022, Darryl Hunt from the Pogues and Paul Ryder from the Happy Mondays, though the latter was premature as he was only 58. But if you go back to 2021 there's Dusty Hill from ZZ Top who'd be my choice.

Yes. I had forgotten about Dusty Hill. A good choice for the line up.

Joe Osborn was miles in front of any other bass guitarist and that's a fact.

Wow. I’m impressed BT. I had to look him up on Wikipedia. A renowned session musician. Perhaps two bass guitarists in the line up. Can’t be bad.

Sadly, I think that there will be more to add in the coming weeks and months.

You could go on a long time discussing bass players, my man would be John Wetton.
