Listening to the match on the radio.
Newport have a player called Lewis Collins and JP has not mentioned a 'Professionals' pun once.
Poor, very poor.

With the 3 signings what will be the team. Armer on bench along with Patrick, Shoo Silva, Harris, Devitt and Gibson?
Can anyone step in for Senior??
Holy
Senior Feeney Huntington Robinson
Guy Moxon Macalmont Mellish
Dennis Gordon
It will be interesting - and I hope sufficient to draw a crowd of about 5,500. Strong wind and rain - so I hope the game is on and pitch is ok.
Newport has drawn the last 4 and over the season W6 D8 L 11 F24 A 28 to be in 18 th 13 pts behind us.
No heavy defeats and took 4 pts off Orient.
Not a lot on their message board.
The indications are that this will be a close game but it is one we must win to keep up our challenge.
I am looking forward to it and also to be reacquainted with the scotch pies.

Aye, but they wouldn’t stop talking about it in post match. Was that you that texted in?
I felt that I had to as I was so ENRAGED.
To make matters worse JP and Lummy had never heard of him and even drew a blank on the show.
I mean The Professionals isn't that old like black and white - it ran till 1983.
Lewis Collins is a star - he almost got the Bond gig when Roger Moore packed it in, we were struggling to find a name for my eldest so robbed Lewis from Lewis Collins, here was me thinking that I had found a scarcely used name pulled from one of my favourite TV shows from the seventies - it was the most popular name of that year I believe to call boys.
How on earth can you not know about The Professionals, it is like not knowing who Madonna is?
*Car smashes through window* DUN DUN DUN DUR DUR DUR DUR RURRRRR DRRRRR DUN DUN DUN DUN
Oh no, avoid that very large pile of empty cardboard boxes at all costs!!!
They weren't too bad with the cardboard boxes to be fair - although I watched one recently and they were flying round in a Capri with Cowleys oak desk on the roof while pursuing some hoodlums.
Little things catch your eye when watching The Professionals like for instance the amount of parking spaces there are, not just for the camera when they are needing to park, in general when they walk around and stuff there are shedloads of spaces and this in in central London and surrounding areas - it appears that in this era of 1977-1983 you could quite easily park up next to where you want to go in London with ease, probably not on a matchday.
Some decent behind the scenes stories from The Professionals like Martin Shaw hated it almost straight away but they wouldn't let him out of a four or five year contract - he didn't like Lewis Collins when they starred together in The New Avengers and when Lewis got the job wrote to the directors asking them to reconsider as he didn't think that he was the right man for the job, sparks flew when Collins found out.
But like in all good American cop buddy films they eventually learned to respect each other and they all lived happily ever after - until Martin Shaw refused to allow any repeats till 1996 and he didn't even want this to happen either.
I wouldn't mind a quid though for every time Gordon Jackson mentions 'a good malt whiskey'.
