Thread: The food at NYS is very unimaginative

The food at NYS is very unimaginative

Really is caveman food. Pies and sausage rolls.

Clubs much smaller than ours offer, Greek, Italian, Indian and healthy vegetarian. We just get lard and no one complains.

In this health conscious age can't we show a bit more imagination?

Well that's the problem with taking on outside caterers to run it.

They employ cheap agency workers that have no experience in the job

Just intructed to "bung the pie in the warmer and turn it on"

Nothing will change whilst customers buy them

Its run by kids who struggle to use a microwave, and serve quickly so needs to be something simple.

I used to enjoy chips in basket in Tivoli before the game. Portion of fries, potato, sweet potato or other would be a start.

Pizza can't be difficult to sell by the slice.

In an age of gluten free vegans you'd think there would be a wider choice.

Maybe some better food will come if/when they open up one if the units.

I’d be happy with roast pork sarnies, I’d even take a jacket potato but atm the only option for me is a pukka

Never use the refreshment bars in the ground if I can help it might get the odd bovril if it’s cold that’s about it don’t expect gourmet cuisine but it really is overpriced rubbish same with the beers
You only have to go out onto Main Street the pop eye burger van is reasonably priced decent snap and there’s always a queue so all them people can’t be wrong you can get a decent pork sarnie there for about £3

They also struggle to use a till/calculator. On our recent trip I bought a burger and 3 coffees and it came to around 11.70. Handed over 15.00 then stood in amazement as the young lady first tried to fathom out the till, then asked another worker for a calculator that didn't seem to work (doesn't everyone have a phone these days with a calculator?). Eventually she managed to work out I was due 3.30 in change and thankfully the coffee was at least still lukewarm by the time she did.

I can just see our fans now queuing for Greek, Italian, Indian and healthy vegetarian options while still wanting a beer or a lager

No I didn't but from that response I assume you don't think having either the ability to use the equipment you are provided or basic maths ability is something that should be expected? Having to wait around 4 minutes whilst it was worked out didn't necessarily impact my day but it certainly pissed off those that were behind me in line.
