Nothing set in stone as yet but talk about safe standing area could be discussed

In my opinion, we need a bigger ground more than we need to stay at St. James'
I know most will disagree with me, but we could easily regularly fill 70k and SJP will never be above 60k

i think the owners will look at trying to expand St James Park but then figure out it will cost too much for such small gains.

I'm expecting then to plump for a new stadium to show off to the world

They'll stay put IMO. The developers have cancelled the building closest to strawberry place leaving room for the Gallowgate to be expanded.

IMO expanding SJP.......Gallowgate + East Stand (if possible) would be the best way to go because the location of the stadium is so unique and part of what makes it great. I think a purpose built fan park/zone would be good and could act as a sort of overflow for SJP. Could name it after Sir Bobby or something

The fan zone is a great idea.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they dismantled the terrace behind the east stand, brick by brick and rebuilt it somewhere else, and of course the inhabitants would be royally compensated. Money talks!

I think so and i'd be surprised if our owners haven't considered it. Would create jobs with bars, foot outlets, hotels etc. There could be another club shop there also selling shirts etc

I don't think that would be possible Tino. They are listed buildings and a lot of them owned by Local Authority, University and College departments etc.

I don't know the geography of Newcastle very well....are there any obvious places where a fan zone could go? I'm guessing on the outskirts somewhere but it would need shuttle buses and good transport links if that was the case
