    It's back.

Just like the threat of vaccine mandates, lockdowns and mandatory mask wearing, the European Super League won't go away and A22 are back with their latest wizard wheeze to extricate more money out of my pocket, your pocket and the TV companies pockets.

Actually, seeing as that's all UEFA and FIFA want to do anyway I don't have any great objection to their proposals, they're a vast improvement on their original scam which was never going to get off the ground. This one might.

Just let them get on with it because, as you know, the increase in revenue generated will go to help all the clubs in the pyramid system ----- so they say.

I'm just waiting to see who screams loudest about it Sub, that will give some indication of whether there's merit in the proposals or not.

Managers whinge about having to play too many (cup) games but it seems they are happy to play an extra 14 games a season in a super league. It's all about money and hypocrisy, but we already knew that.

I'm assuming if this goes ahead that will be the end of the Champions League and that Europa dog's breakfast. This idea might be better.

I listened to the German dude on SKY Sports who seems to be the driving force behind this whimsical idea and basically he said we need something "better" than the Champions League and the other minor tournaments and also claimed it would go ahead without the approval of the English FA and the EPL's Big Six. Cue gasp of breath from the SKY reporter.

Are this lot going to be any worse than the money grubbing, corrupt chancers who run UEFA and FIFA ? Can't see it myself so good luck to them.

What could be possibly worse than an outfit where charges of rape, political corruption, money laundering, financial corruption, and fraud are chucked about like confetti everyday.

All us genuine punters want to watch is a game of bloody football and our team doing well. What went wrong?

Your last sentence says it all as far as a genuine fan is concerned, however, the ongoing quest by the media etc. had been to make the game an entertainment spectacular in order to please those watching on TV and paying for the privilege. The genuine fan is very low down on the list as far as the TV companies etc, are concerned, hence the ludicrous moving of fixtures for TV coverage which inevitably costs the genuine fan a lot of money if he has already made arrangements. Problem is, it ain't going to get any better!
