    RIP Barry Webster

sad to hear the loss of one of my boyhood heroes today aged 88. A member of the team that played in the first ever League cup final. RIP Barry

A couple of years before my time but he was part of that legendary team that got us to the league Cup Final and knocked Arsenal out of the FA Cup.

    RIP Barry.

I saw Barry Webster, played on the right wing for the Millers.

    Sincere condolences to Barry's family.

    RIP Barry.

One of the greats and sad to see him go. He and Roy Ironside were life-long pals. I met them both in 2011 and wrote an article for Moulin Rouge about the meeting.

Sad to say that, of the squad of players involved in that first League Cup campaign, only Roy, Ken Houghton and Brian Sawyer are still with us (and of those only Roy and Ken played in the final.)

Good memories of bandy legs Barry running down the right wing and always very close to the touch line.

    RIP Barry
