All these eco nutters, tree huggers and folk that want to ban everything are total hypocrites when it comes to themselves having to be inconvenienced or not allowed to do something. The only thing that makes me wonder about it all is, are they just too thick to see through their is own hypocrisy or do they not care and just do what they damned well like and sod the rest of us?

Another Green MSP who is happy to use a private company when it suits them despite these Green MSPs being ‘anti business’. Lorna Slater should have been compelled to use the scheduled Calmac ferry service which preferably would have broken down and been withdrawn from service a couple of hours before it was due to sail.
Then Ms Slater would have known what it is like living on a Scottish island served by the ‘elderly and clapped out’ Scottish Government owned Calmac ferries.

Most of the MSPs are not interested in they own constituents shortly before an election is due.
The rest of the time they could not give two hoots about them as they are too busy lining their pockets with their lavish salaries at our expense.
Last week the Scottish Government Public Health Minster Ms Jenni Minto was not paying attention in the Scottish Parliament when she was asked a question despite having advanced warning of the question.
I am not surprised as she is just a ‘jumped up’ Community Councillor who has been promoted to her level of incompetence.

I have been avoiding setting up a topic about the current Calmac ferry shambles on Mad which is extremely worrying for island residents and businesses

I have been waiting for you to get this topic started again. Next to Useless Island and who we could send there this is an interesting topic. It's gone beyond incompetence in my opinion. People have been misleading Holyrood and it needs a proper investigation. Any suggestions as to how that should be organised?

This is the problem with the List votes. It is either a ‘crawlers charter’ for candidates in the main parties or we end up with ‘deadbeat ‘ political parties like the Greens whose tinpot ideas in a normal Parliament would never see the light of day.
In my opinion only political parties who put up candidates in every first past the post seat would be also allowed to put up candidates as list MSPs.
That would get rid of the Green MSPs including Ms Maggie Chapman who is the North East Scotland Green List MSP.
Dundee FC supporters should remember Ms Chapman who organised the protest at the proposed cutting down of some trees in Caird Park which eventually scuppered the new Regional Stadium at Caird Park. This resulted in Tim Keyes purchasing a piece of waste ground with no previous planning permission on it which we know as the former NCR Camperdown grounds.
Hopefully Ms Chapman will practice what she preaches about the new stadium development at the former NCR Camperdown grounds especially as there a tree preservation order on the site.
Hopefully some Green supporters or Ms Chapman’s lackeys read what is posted on Dundee Mad.

The main problem in my opinion is that Nicola Sturgeon wanted to centralise everything in Scotland in the area between Glasgow and Edinburgh and she has no interest in the rest of Scotland.
She never appeared in Islay despite the taxation from the whisky distilleries being one of her main sources of income in an independent Scotland. I will set up a separate topic headed the 2023 Calmac Ferry Crisis.
