We need a bigger squad for L2 and so need to add players but I would only let Mitchell go, Vincent & Francis are both young and have a lot to offer + they already know our system. Rawlinson has been a good servant and seems a bit cruel to boot him out now. He could still be a good back up player. Regards O’Brien, I wonder if he will leave and carry on his coaching job with Sheffield Wednesday/United?

I think you're pretty much spot on there. I think Rawlinson has been good for Notts but he's slowed down a lot. I'd like to think he could still do a job for a NL team. Frank Vincent is a puzzle to me. His early starts were nothing to shout about but when he returned from his loan I thought he played well when he came on as a late sub.
I love Chicksen's attitude and fitness but he can't get past defenders and he needs to learn how to cross a ball.

I think Vincent adds something and is a decent option from the bench, but I don't think either of them have done enough to earn a new deal at a higher level.

That looks about right to me. I'd be sad to see Rawlo go as he's been a fantastic servant to the club, but I think L2 might be a big step up at this stage of his career.

I’d have an honest convo with Rawlo about what he wants. If he’s happy with more of a squad player role then I’d definitely give him another year, he’s the exact type of character you want in the squad to help assimilate some new signings and help keep the amazing spirit and culture we’ve built.

Equally, if he wants to play every game at this stage of this career then he can leave a proper Notts hero.

I think Rawlinson will be offered something, LWs a big fan and he’s a great character in the dressing room. I think Mitchell’s got to go for his own sake with us already signing another striker. Slocombes a tricky one, he’s so steady (apart from first 10 mins at Wembley) I think that one’s a conversation to see if he’s happy possibly playing second fiddle. I see Vincent going and Francis probably but he might get offered something but I can’t see it to be honest.

Don't get me wrong, Rawlinson is a great defender, but with his age and attributes, he's going to struggle in League two with how we play. I'd be more than happy for him to stay as a squad player, it was telling when Bostock missed the penalty, Rawlinson immediately left the line to go check on him. He's not a bad apple to have around, if he's happy to be a squad player
