    Tina Turner. R.i.p

Simply the best. Really she came through a lot of abuse in her life with Ike. Another one gone. Feeling old now. R.i.p

Sad sad news. A real Rock icon, lasted decades unlike some of todays five minute wonders.

    RIP super star.

Nut Sack City Limits is one of the earliest songs I could remember from being a kid.

A true superstar in the real meaning of the term.

Suffered awful abuse at the hands of that pig Ike Turner and to turn her career around after all of that showed her character.

Simply The Best is one of the standout pop singles of all time, 200 years from now it’ll still be played and all of the future generations will bemoan the fact they’ll never get to see her in the flesh.

A truly magnificent woman and singer.

    RIP to a true legend.

Only just seen this news and quite a shock as 83 no age really these days, although I understand she had been ill for a while. Whilst she made some classic R&B records with Ike Turner, tbh, I never personally thought she was up there with the really great singers as a bit too much of a shouter. That said, "River Deep, Mountain High" -the Spector version not the more basic Ike & Tina one-is one of my all time favourite records and must admit to liking the "Private Dancer" album when it came out too. The excellent Angela Bassett biopic showed what a tough life she had to endure with her husband. Another cultural legend passes too soon. RIP Tina.

Went to see Tina her musical biopic a few months ago in the west end, was an amazing show and the singer who played Tina really had her down to a tea. Well worth seeing if you are a fan.

I would imagine she was a great live act, but I didn't like her because of the way she dressed in her fifties. She looked like one of the girls who stand on the corner of Wolverhampton's Steelhouse Lane. There's more to class than having a good voice.
