    Miggy doesn't speak English?

Quick post. I've been watching some of the end of season videos on nufc tv

    https://www.nufc.co.uk/nufc-tv/lates...-season-22-23/

In each one Miggy isn't speaking English. He's been here years. Bit of a poor showing if he hasn't learnt the language. Should be fluent by now. Seems out of character. I was really surprised.

Love how Bruno refers to Willock as Willockinho Modric when describing his pass to Isak against Spurs

He played in Atlanta prior to us. No excuse if true, maybe he just finds English too difficult. Theres cnts native I lnow who can barely string a sentence together.

It is poor. He should be fluent by now. I’m impressed how fast big Jo and Bruno have picked it up - they’ve obviously done lessons and worked hard to learn.
Let’s face it, they wouldn’t have learnt much day to day listening to Geordies speaking!!

Yeah not the most important thing in the world.

Perhaps he has a super thick Geordie accent that no one can understand so he reverts back to his native tongue

I don’t agree. Some people are better at learning languages than others but after years in the US and UK it doesn’t reflect well on his attitude.
Then again he probably does speak a bit but isn’t confident enough to do interviews.

That's why i said it seems out of character though, because I don't think any of us would usually question Miggy's attitude.

I suspect he can speak and understand English.

But knowing what he's like for confidence, I bet he has zero confidence in speaking it.

It's like the kids at my school who are EAL. They mostly can speak English but often don't have the confidence to do so and retreat to their own language and then at home only speak that language as well.

I think i’s quite easy to live in the US without speaking english coz half of Mexico lives there.
