    Asylum Seekers

I see the Home office is to commandeer the soon to be vacated by Ukrainian refugees cruise ship docked in Leith and Edinburgh council is not happy about it.

Added to that people are not happy that the Home office has bid above councils for accommodation for them thus doing homeless people out of much needed housing.

Add the continuous eroding of landlords legal rights thus making folk sell up and get out of the leasing game to the rising numbers of folk crossing the channel what the f*ck are the government meant to do?
Every effort to curtail the rising numbers of immigrants or to deport them is met with anger and law suits and knowing there is no housing here for them WTF do folk suggest the Home office does? They're in a no win situation.

It does not help matters that the RNLI are acting like a taxi service in the English Channel.

I'd be defending the south coast now, not patrolling, not rescuing, not processing.....defending......to quote TD old school defending.

But that cud only happen if our Govt and civil service saw the mass invasion as a problem, they don't, they never will.

Nicola Sturgeon wanted all these asylum seekers to come to Scotland permanently to live and work. Now when they get the chance to house them in a cruise liner at Leith they suddenly become NIMBY’s with Useless complaining that the Scottish Government has no control over this.
It is a pity that the Red Road flats in Glasgow have been demolished otherwise these asylum seekers could have been housed their. Even better as these asylum seekers would be living close to Nicola Sturgeon and Useless’s respective parliamentary constituency.
