    Cashless Concourses

What are peoples views on cash not now being allowed at the food/drink outlets under the stands. Good or bad idea.

I suppose the club must have weighed up the costs of enabling cash still to be used v cashless
and cashless seems to have won. With the cashless point of sale systems already being in
use, the extra cost of collecting cash and banking it (or having a security firm collect it)
might not have been economically justifiable. Most people have a contactless card. If they
went totally 'app' as car parks are doing I could see a bit of fuss being kicked up though.

What I don't get though is this:

Cash can also be used to enter the 50:50 draw when it returns for the friendly against Nottingham Forest, but from the beginning of the regular season it will no longer be accepted.
Can't see the draw continuing to be (seemingly) successful or popular as it has been, as for a lot of people I would
imagine it's a spur of the moment thing, chucking a quid or two at it. Can't see it being as popular if you have to
    pay contactless!

Fine by me, I sometimes get food from the van just inside the main ML gates and always pay by card, can't think of anywhere I use cash these days, been like that for a while.

Unless I’m getting my hair cut or having my car washed I never need cash either, but I can appreciate some of the moans in response to this. It will be a bit of a struggle for some of the owd boys.

The cost of card machines can be expensive. Have you been to a curry house or the like when they charge for card payments? That’s to cover the cost of paying by card. Notts may have secured a good deal but would still think the cost will be 1000s.
It may be 50p per transaction to you and I. But if Notts are charged that, then it can’t be the cheap option.

Saying about card fees this can be matched as cash is also costly to pay into the bank. I get charged for every £100 over a £1000 I pay in in one month.

I have no hair to cut (what little I have I use the clippers I bought for my dogs, Wahl what can you do), for me it's car wash and the guy that delivers my prescription from the pharmacy. Before covid I always used cash for petrol/shopping etc.
