Fleetwood Town were the last team to contest a League Cup tie at ML, we won to set up a 2nd round away trip to Liverpool.
Got a feeling we'll win tomorrow and get a plum tie again, though that might not necessarily be a welcome distraction if we start getting desperate for points (It certainly didn't help Kiwoma's Notts being paired with Liverpool, we had our worst start to a campaign in a century).
First thing I still associate with the League Cup is beating Bolton 6-1.
Four previous LC meetings with Lincoln, all 1st and 2nd legs, knocked out by Colin Murphy's Lincoln in 1981 then with Colin Murphy we beat them in 1995.
130 years this November since we first played them at Trent Bridge in the 2nd tier, the season we went on to win the FA Cup.
