    Car insurance!

Good luck with your next policy renewal.

The quarter for my 2 1/2 year old X5 has almost trebled to over £2000, I eventually got it down to £1729.

Okay, I had a claim for the first time in a decade that cost them £3200 and a windscreen replacement within the last 12 months but they’re sure getting it all back.

I deal with A-Plan Insurance and find them to be very straight and easy to deal with, well informed, U.K. based staff.

I was told the increases are in the main, due to the huge numbers of 4x4 and prestige cars but in particular Land Rover.

I knew there was a big problem with Land Rover due to their keyless entry system, my wife has an Evoke and you tend to drive them with great trepidation once you hear how easy and how often these thefts are happening.

He told me of a customer who’d had his £140k Range Rover stolen and his next policy was quoted at £21k.

He then had the replacement vehicle stolen as well! 🫣😳

Expect a big shock when you get your next quote, the lad told me that the problem with LR and premium car thefts is now so bad it’s impacting every quote, most companies are now refusing to insure LR models.

The scandal with this is that LR have known about this issue for nearly three years and they’ve still not sorted out their car entry system and security.

My advice is to avoid LR vehicles at present, I’m looking to change the wife’s car now, I’m expecting her next quote to be around £4k,

The insurance industry is one big scam industry like the energy industry.
