Thread: Final phase of the transfer window, what should we do?

  1. #1

Question Final phase of the transfer window, what should we do?

    Buy Tella.
    Buy Maatsen.
    Buy THB.

Any other bright ideas any one?

Centre Forward - We have plenty of wide men for Creativity, but are lacking a Predator. Foster worked his nads off against City, but I don't see a lot of goals in him.

Central Midfielder - Think we need an option for playing alongside Sander Berge. I thought the City Game passed Josh Cullen by somewhat, obviously we have take into consideration we played probably the best team in the world. However, I have concerns whether he is up to the top flight.

Left Back - We don't really have one, and Taylor isnt up to it in the Premiership.

Charlie's played an awful lot of games in the EPL for us C_c and I don't recall him ever letting us down, not even once. I do hope however Maatsen gets on board a Terrier Taxis stretch limo and gets his arse up here. Pronto!

Great idea but how do we fund it?

We have around £120 million or so coming in from the TV deal, we have the facility to borrow up to another £100 million and we spread the payments over the length of the contracts. It might come back and bite us on the bum one day, but initially I don't think there is a problem funding a few more signings.

I think you are building up one hell of a wage bill though.

The loans outwards are starting to kick in and Brownhill looks to be on his way out.

Pace does not seem worried so neither am I.

We're not signing big money players, I stand to be corrected but I think our going rate is around £40k a week, which should put our annual wage bill between £50 and £60 million. All perfectly manageable.

Actually mon ami it's around £25k a week which is better than manageable.

The downside of course is that players like Lokonga and Lukebakio don't want to know.
