Away from twittersphere and the all the other bowels of social media, most people I have spoken to about Rubiales incident have had quite a sober perspective on the incident.

Away from the keyboard these opinions vary from ' storm in a teacup' to ' not the best decision he ever made' with the most severe reprimand suggested is
' maybe send him on a training course'


Contrast with the reaction on twitter. You would think the person being described was worse than Stalin or Idi Amin.

What has happened? There seems to be a complete disconnect between , everyday folk and the influencers on social media. This is definitely a post truth generation. Truth is irrelevant, it is more important to be on the side of the angels rather than soberly assessing the facts.
