Argentina, Morocco, Paraguay, Portugal, Spain and Uruguay will host the Centennial World Cup.

That's right, six countries from three continents. Some of the opening games will be played in South America, seeing as it all started in Uruguay, and the business end will be played in Europe and North Africa.

So your average fan can then just hitch hike between the venues to watch his team then?

It's only 3 games in south America, so it's a bit of a stretch to say 6 countries are hosting it.

Anyway the biggest mistake is expanding it to 48 teams.

All six are automatically qualifying, though.

48 teams is a bit much, but it helps the big countries to qualify, which is where the $ is. And that's what the World Cup is all about, after all. Not football.
