This is class. Non affiliate Journalists telling the complete truth about the night against PSG. It's brilliant to hear outsiders actually being positive about Newcastle
Cheers, man, that's a great watch.
Very good.
Still amazes me that no mention of the sports washing debate being a UK government issue (certainly nothing to do with our fans or club but also not the footballing authorities, as mentioned on this interview).
My guess is because there is nothing to discuss.
The reason the deal didn't go through was due to the EPL's contract with BeIN sport & alleged piracy of BeOUTQ. They resolved that issue financial, the deal went through.
Saudi Arabia is a critical strategic partner of Great Britain. The relationship between the two kingdoms is over a hundred years old.
Saudi Arabia have shares in every company you can imagine. Sport's washing is a meaningless term. They don't say 'Tourism Washing' despite Saudi spending equal amounts of money on their tourist industry or Technology washing as they are heavily invested in Uber, Apple or Media washing as they have stakes in many of the publicly traded global media companies.
The Amnesty people or bitter journos like to bring this subject up on Twitter etc using their iPhones, MacBooks they don't seen to see the irony.
Hubris I believe it's called, however, that doesn't seem to stop their agenda of hatred against us.
To be fair the Saudi State is an horrendous regime.. the Crown Prince is an horrendous person.. I will always support this club.. but what happens in Saudi I cant defend whether they own shares in companies I use etc..
We are used for sportwashing.. however.. I don't care about that.. I just care about what happens with Newcastle..
The Saudis are vile people with vile morals and culture..
Absolutely. No one has to defend the Saudi regime in order to defend the fact that they support the club they love.
Just because Saudi-Arabia is an important strategic partner for a number of countries, doesn't mean you then have to blindly accept the way they govern their country (which is in direct conflict with the human rights declaration).
Great to see us getting the credit we deserve, FYI the Danish media are over the moon with us and our team - the "experts" really seem to rate us and believe we are going places this season. Just an example that we are getting the credit we are due, but maybe not from the established media in GB who obviously seem to have their darlings in place which leaves no room for us.
