    Home And Away

No,not the crappy Oz soap, sorry, but why are we so dire away but not too bad at home ?
I've never really understood why teams should be worse away from home surely the fans don't make that much difference.
Seems simple, but why not do exactly what we are doing at home, away ?
    What am I missing ?

Pitch size and fitness of the players, I think is a big factor. Watch how many times the home team switch play with long diagnols and that stretches us as we are narrow and leave gaps.

When teams come to our place they feel they have to be more cautious because it's an away game and a draw is acceptable. But when at home they know we are there for the taking. No threat up front, slow or inexperienced at the back, and a midfield that needs too much time. I can't see any of this improving barring some miracle signings in January

As nearly all the other teams have a bigger pitch maybe it’s time we increased ours and learnt to play on bigger pitches home AND away.

What was our excuse at Millwall and Sunderland?

    Too many injured players?

So the reason we are so dire away is because all the other club`s pitch is a bit bigger ?
Wasn`t the pitch the same size when we were promoted 3 times recently, doesn`t make sense.

Significantly bigger clearly, and our players aren't fit. Most diisnt have a full preseason and clearly MT wasn't as keen on the fitness side, huge mistake. Remember after three games he was claiming they were suffering from fatigue. I think when we get the new man in it will start to come out how bad MT was, but we will see.

He also said that the training pitch was causing the injuries we had last season.......mmmmmm.
