    Norwich?

Did I dream it? Did it not really happen? I’m sure I remember a distant home match where we beat Norwich city playing some of the best football I’ve ever seen from a Rotherham team.

I’m sure that in that match we looked every inch a championship club who would hold its own against anyone and even beat a few.

So how did we end up like a League Two team placed into the Premiership for a laugh, a la Trading Places? What happened after that game?

So strange. I actually discussed the football we played against Norwich with someone last night

    It really was top drawer.

Cause Humphreys & Blackett were fit & we had players fit but they couldn't stay that.

Five of that starting lineup are currently unavailable due to injury. That’s the main reason. I dare say most of them, if not all, would walk straight back into the team if they were fit.

Good point, the defence is certainly much worse without them, but that doesn’t explain how the rest of them are seemingly unable to play any more. The midfield, for example is devoid of any creativity whatsoever. We carry no threat going forward, and it’s not just since those starting players got injured. Cafu, for one, was a star of that game and has been criminally poor in most appearances since.

Grist hit the nail on the head got called for it but certain type of players were no good to us come the Autumn/Winter. All signings we made this summer only Tiehi Nombe add anything to the squad. Rest can go along with Ayala Clucas Peltier Hall Morrison Ferguson before season 24/25.
